PMBAH Celebrates Breastfeeding Awareness Day
Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Hospital PMBAH in Al Madinah Al Munawwarah celebrated the World Breastfeeding Week through a series of educational, awareness and training activities organized by the Department of Nursing Education, with the participation of a group of departments. The events are targeting a large group of mothers and female workers in the hospital to raise the society’s awareness to the importance and benefits of breastfeeding for the child and the mother alike.
In addition, the events included an awareness exhibition which was inaugurated by held the entrance the outpatient clinics by the Executive Director of Operations Dr. Mansour AlOthman, accompanied by the Deputy Executive Director of Operations, Mr. Mansour Al Askar and a group of directors and staff members of various departments and sections.
The workshop was preceded by a series of training workshops for mothers, in which more than 40 mothers learned how to breastfeed babies the right way. The training team also visited more than 18 mothers in the hospital's inpatient wards to raise the awareness levels about the benefits of breastfeeding.
