The Department of Ophthalmology at King Abdul-Aziz Medical City in Jeddah is preparing to organize the most important event (the Scientific Conference on Retinal Diseases), recognized by the European School for Advanced Research in Ophthalmology. Abdullah Al-Qahtani - Assistant Professor and Consultant of Retinal Surgery, Head of the Ophthalmology Department, which will also be directly transferred to the lecture hall of King Saud bin Abdul-Aziz University for Health Sciences "Jeddah Branch," and to all parts of the world via (Zoom) platform. A selection of speakers and retina physicians from America, France, the Gulf, and the Arab world will also participate in this scientific conference and local speakers from various health sectors in the Kingdom. This scientific event, organized by the Department of Ophthalmology in King Abdul-Aziz Medical City in Jeddah and King Saud bin Abdul-Aziz University for Health Sciences "Jeddah Branch," is part of a group of scientific, academic activities. The aim is to seek an exchange of experiences between specialists in the retina and to identify the latest developments in this field. Several topics, the most important of which are: retinal atrophy, complications of diabetes with the retina, and retinal surgeries.
For his part, Dr. Abdullah Al-Qahtani, Head of the Ophthalmology Department at King Abdul-Aziz Medical City in Jeddah, stressed the importance of such academic conferences in this specialty. He noted the advanced level reached by the medical service in health affairs and that this medical event aims to improve the quality of diagnosis and treatment of these diseases. The category of eye patients and serving patients is a great goal and a great trust that we bear to serve our generous Kingdom.
