Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz Hospital Organizes Awareness Campaign Regarding Childhood Vaccines & Bedwetting
In association with Nursing Services, Pediatrics department at Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz Hospital, Ministry of National Guard’s Health Affairs in Madinah; organized an awareness campaign on Saturday 24/8/2019 addressing the pediatric vaccines and bedwetting of children at Al-Rashid Mega Mall to improve the awareness and highlight two important aspects related to children's health.
The first aspect was presented by Dr. Ghaya Al-Qurainis, Consultant Pediatric Infectious Diseases. It relates to children's vaccines and their importance to the health and the risks related to ignoring child vaccines as well as correcting misconceptions about child vaccines, including the incorrect relevance between child vaccines and autism.
The other aspect of the campaign, presented by Dr. Eman Nooreddeen, Consultant Pediatric Nephrology, was related to children’s bedwetting, educating children and their families of the best ways to address such issue, clarifying the importance of avoiding negative reactions to this involuntary problem and advising them regarding the available treatment methods.
The exhibition, which attracted a large number of visitors, included a number of booths, including recreational booths for children and awareness booths that provided educational brochures and flyers. Visitors queries regarding children's vaccinations and bedwetting were answered, as well as displaying video awareness messages related to the campaign in addition to distributing gifts to all visitors.
