Represented by the Laboratory Department; Prince Muhammed Bin Abdulaziz Hospital in Madinah organized a blood donation campaign in collaboration with the King Faisal Private Security Brigade of the Ministry of National Guard in Madinah. The campaign was launched on Sunday morning, the 27th of March 2022 for five days.

This campaign is an endeavor to improve the constructive spirit of cooperation in regards to social responsibility by participation in blood donation campaigns. It is also meant to urge the society to donate blood and improve awareness about the importance of such campaigns and their health outcomes for individuals and communities which are not exclusive to the patient in urgent need for blood transfusion, but also contributes to improve the donor's health too.

As per the Operations Director at Laboratory Department, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Juhani; studies have proven that blood donation on a regular basis is associated with better health outcomes, the most important of which is increasing bone marrow the activity to produce new blood cells and improving blood circulation. Blood donation also helps regulate iron levels in the body as too much iron can be damaging to blood vessels and cause heart disease.

A large number of officers and personnel of the King Faisal Brigade for Private Security visited the campaign to donate blood at the hospital's blood donation center, expressing their commitment to their duty to carry out this noble humanitarian act, hoping for the blessing & acceptance of Allah.
