Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Hospital in Madinah celebrates the Saudi Home Health Care Day


Under the slogan of "Eye on Your Care," Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Hospital for Health Affairs at the Ministry of National Guard in Madinah, represented by the Home Health Care Department and with the participation of several hospital departments, held an awareness event on the Saudi Home Health Care Day on Thursday morning 21/5/1444 AH, 15/12/2022. The event was inaugurated by the Executive Director of Operations, Mr. Mansour Al Askar, and the Executive Director of Medical Services, Dr. Turki Al Wasidi, and in the presence of the Head of the Home Health Care Department at the hospital, Dr. Samia Sabr, and several heads of medical and operational departments at the hospital.


This participation comes to activate national and international health events to emphasize their role in supporting activities that promote public health and raise health awareness in the community. In addition, the event aims to raise awareness of this service's importance and introduce different segments of society to the areas of home health care services, the groups eligible for these services, and how to apply and register for them according to specific standards and mechanisms of action.

The event included several activities for the various departments that reviewed the role of home health care in improving health care at the local and global levels. Participants in the event also explained the work of the Department, how various health services were provided, and the statistics and achievements achieved by the Home Health Care Department throughout its establishment since the end of 2021. It included external participation from the Association of Home Medicine (My Care) and the Saudi Scientific Society of Home Healthcare.

The Head of Home Health Care, Dr. Samia Sabr, assured the importance of home healthcare services provided by the hospital, as the service contributed to a 46% reduction in the visitation rate of patients enrolled in emergency home healthcare services, adding that the number of visits to the Home Health Care Services Department reached more than 3,000 during the year.

Awareness and guidance leaflets about home care were distributed in addition to souvenirs to visitors. In addition, appreciation certificates were presented to success partners caring for their families to appreciate their cooperation with the Home Health Care Services Department in implementing the treatment plan for their families and their influential role in the service's success.
