Pediatrics
The Pediatric Unit (Ward 4) is a 37-bed unit with both private and semi-private rooms. The nursing staff is experienced in the care of infants and children. Nursing care is provided for all infants and children up to fourteen years of age.
The unit provides same day surgery patient care, orthopaedic treatment, and physical therapy and treatment rooms for special procedures. Our facilities support sitters for all our patients with complimentary meals and comfort areas. In addition, “play-therapy” is available for children in a modern well-equipped playroom.
The pediatric services include a six bed Intensive Care Unit (PICU) unit and a four bed step-down unit housed within the general paediatric ward. The PICU and paediatrics step-down units offer a range of complex progressive services for medical, surgical and trauma cases. Staffs for both areas are highly skilled experienced nurse with specialty certification.
