Our section offers state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging services, including plain radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT Scan, and MRI. Our areas of expertise include oncologic imaging, dual-energy CT, CT colonography, CT/MR enterography, and multi-parametric prostate MRI.
Body Imaging Section Operation Capacity
About 70,000 procedures annually are being provided by the Body Imaging Section ranging from plain radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT Scan, and MRI.
Body Imaging Section Scope of Services
Aside from the routine body imaging services, our advanced procedures include CT angiography (CTA), utilizing computer processing to create cross-sectional images of vessels, soft tissues, and bones, CT and MR enterography which is a specialized study for abdominal pain, especially in patients with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
CT virtual colonoscopy using CT imaging to examine the large intestine and can replace standard colonoscopy in some cases, fluoroscopy which can be combined with a CT scan to plan surgery for complications of bariatric surgery and gastric bands, contrast-enhanced ultrasound using microbubble injections to identify liver lesions and guide biopsy.
Dual-energy CT which provides greater accuracy than standard CT scans to identify tumors, and multi-parametric prostate MRI which is a novel tool to increase the detection of clinically significant prostate cancer in both biopsy-naive and previous negative biopsy settings.
