Reasearch Activities

Recently, a Research Committee has been formed with the following objectives:

Enhance the research activity within the department.
Provide directions to staff members towards research.
Help in giving critique and positive criticism to researchers.
Establish strong links with the Hospital Research Committee and the King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC), for research projects and approval.
Provide suggestions/ proposal for research.
Create resources for research funding.
Arrange for a research related dedicated lectures and training workshops
Recruit manpower for research activity such as Research Coordinator, Database Manager and Statistician.

In the past, the limited research activity would include some case reports and few retrospective studies. Our aim is to improve the quality and the quantity of research activity which will happen with support of the King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMCR).

Arranging and organizing lectures and workshop related to research.
Encouraging the radiology staff and resident to attend the courses and workshop conducted by the research center by allowing a protected time to do that.
Research month will be compulsory for all radiology residents with the support of the residency program director.
Journal club will be conducted monthly and presented by the radiology residents.
Building strong relationship with the KAIMRC for technical support.
Contributing with research summer school conducted by the research center.
