Fast Track Unit (FTU)

Fast Track Unit (FTU)

FTU has 5 Chairs and one bed that caters to Fast Track Level 4 & Non-eligible level 3 with a patient population of mixed gender – 14 years and above. The operations hours are 24 hours / 7 days per week. FTU nursing procedures are:​

  • Standard Precautions – Infection Control and Prevention Practice,

  • Point of Care Testing.

  • Medication Administration – Oral and Intramuscular.

  • Nebulizer.

  • Pain Management.

  • Wound Care.

  • Patient Education.

  • Nasogastric Tube Insertion.

  • Urinary Catheterization.

  • Prepare Patients for Radiological procedure.

  • Back Slap.

  • Assist in Suturing.
