Stroke Nursing Program

Patient Population: Adult; Mixed Gender
Hours of Operation: 07:00 -16:00
Scope of Service: The stroke nursing program has two patient nurse educators that provides lifestyle advice, support, health promotion and stroke prevention education to all strokes both inpatient and outpatient clinic.
Staff Categories: Registered Nurses specialized in stroke care
Primary Diagnosis: All confirmed stroke patients and transient ischemic attack (TIA) or mini Stroke
Primary Procedures:
  • Provision of health education.

  • Provision of stroke education.

  • Conduct of stroke support group.

  • Follow –up.

  • Runs a TIA /stroke clinic with the collaborative support of the stroke team.


Pulmonary Nursing Program

Patient Population: Adult; Mixed Gender
Hours of Operation: 07:00 -16:00
Scope of Service: The pulmonary nursing program has six patient nurse educators who provide lifestyle advice, support, health promotion relevant to pulmonary and chronic pulmonary obstructive disease education to all patients both in and outpatient clinic.
Staff Categories: Registered Nurses specialized in pulmonary /COPD
Primary Diagnosis: All confirmed stroke patients and transient ischemic attack (TIA) or mini Stroke
Primary Procedures:
  • Provision of health education.
  • Provision of pulmonary education.
  • Follow –up .
  • Runs a pulmonary clinic with the collaborative support of the pulmonary Team.
