Ward 10
Ward 10 is a 29- bed Acute Respiratory Isolation Unit that provides care to adult patients who are suspected and confirmed cases of MERS-CoV/Covid -19. We provide care to patients aged 14 and older with various respiratory illnesses and comorbidities. All rooms are single negative pressure rooms, and all patients are nursed on contact and droplet isolation.
Patient Population: Adult; Mixed Gender.
Hours of Operation: 24 Hours / 7 Days per week.
Number of Bed: 29 Beds.
Occupancy Rate: 100%.

Primary Diagnosis
- All conditions presenting with acute respiratory symptoms. COVID positive and MERSCOV positive
Primary Procedures
Isolation Techniques (Hand Hygiene, Donning and Doffing of PPEs)
Medication Administration.
Tracheostomy Care and Suctioning.
I.V. Infusions including Cannulation.
Oxygen Therapy.
Nasogastric and PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy) Care.
Urinary Catheterization.
Full Face BiPap.
Diagnostic, Interventional Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.
Pre / Post Bronchoscopic Procedures.
Nasopharyngeal swabbing.
Procedure, NGT insertion.
Pleural Tapping, Bone Marrow biopsy and Lumbar Puncture.
Insertion of CVP Lines.
Administration of Blood and Blood Products.
Phlebotomy.
Patient and Family Education.
