Ward 5​ 

Ward 5 consists of 32 beds, Admits postpartum patients with newborns, antenatal patients for booked elective cesarean section, antenatal patients for fetal and maternal wellbeing monitoring, and patients
with gynecology disorders – medical or surgical.​

​Ward 5 provides the following:

  • Obstetric assessment.

  • Postnatal care.

  • Pre and post-operative care for caesarean section.

  • Pre and post-operative care for gynecology surgery.

  • Breastfeeding advice and support.

  • Postpartum contraceptive counselling.

  • Obstetrics emergency care for antenatal and post-partum patients.

  • Newborn care.

  • Vaccination for mother and baby.

Patient Population
  • Post-partum patients with newborn.

  • Antenatal patients for booked elective caesarean section.

  • Patients for combined obstetrics and gynecology surgery.


Hours of Operation: 4 hours/7 days a week.

Staff Categories:

  • Nurse Manager.

  • Registered Nurses.

  • Patient Care Technicians.
