Ward 5 consists of 32 beds, Admits postpartum patients with newborns, antenatal patients for booked elective cesarean section, antenatal patients for fetal and maternal wellbeing monitoring, and patients
with gynecology disorders – medical or surgical.
Ward 5 provides the following:
Obstetric assessment.
Postnatal care.
Pre and post-operative care for caesarean section.
Pre and post-operative care for gynecology surgery.
Breastfeeding advice and support.
Postpartum contraceptive counselling.
Obstetrics emergency care for antenatal and post-partum patients.
Newborn care.
Vaccination for mother and baby.
Patient Population
Post-partum patients with newborn.
Antenatal patients for booked elective caesarean section.
Patients for combined obstetrics and gynecology surgery.
Hours of Operation: 4 hours/7 days a week.
