Postgraduate Training Center
The Postgraduate Training Center (PTC), at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS), was officially launched on June of 1996, with the principle of offering an advanced continuous medical education and to promote the professional development of healthcare providers.
Based on its mission to serve the community and raise the professional level of physicians and health care professionals, Deanship of Higher Education, at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences KSAU-HS represented in postgraduate Training Center offers many training programs. As such, KSAU-HS organizes its locally and internationally accredited programs in cooperation with local and international experts and specialists such as: the American Heart Association (AHA), American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), Saudi Heart Association (SHA), Saudi Society for Respiratory Care (SSRC) and the Saudi Commission for health Specialties (SCHS). It is worth mentioning that in Year 2011, the Postgraduate Training Center (PTC) was awarded with highest Trainees’ Number Record for Middle East & North Africa as International Training Center for Counting Medical Education. Also was recognized as: Center of Excellence. Since then, the center’s aims and goals was to maintain the mentioned recognition.
Services Provided under the Center
Over the years the center scope of work expanded immensely to respond to the growing needs of the organization. Assortments of specialized courses, workshops, programs, long and short courses, including mini-symposia/conferences, and day activities.

PTC will be the center for excellence and continue to be recognized as a leading center in continuing medical education of all healthcare professionals, through investment in human capital, partnership with internationally recognized centers, and provision of quality service.
Mission
The mission of the Postgraduate Training Center is to:
Provide the Mandatory Certification, Continuing Education and Professional Training to KSAU-HS, KAMC, KAIMRC, and for all healthcare professionals nationally and globally.
Offer educational programs that promote excellence in clinical practice based on the needs of healthcare professionals, adapting the best practice and the most recent advances in medical research and technology.
Maintain accreditation and recognition as an international center, and seek further local, regional and international achievements.
