The (Angiography / Interventional) Special Procedures Department is the Division of Medical Imaging that performs Interventional Radiography. State of the art biplane flat panel installed recently to perform interventional procedures, diagnostic and therapeutic angiograms.
Within the division of Interventional Radiology a variety of vascular studies are performed including Angiography (Arteriograms and Venograms), Central line placement, Peripheral Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) line placement, Caval filter placement, Biliary drainage, Nephrostograms, Vertebroplasty, Embolization and Abscess drainage. The division also provide advanced neurointerventional procedures like cerebral vascular malformation embolization and cerebral aneurysm coiling.
