Once again, the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs
celebrates a proud moment as it has successfully passed the JCI re-accreditation survey for the third time, for
years 2016-2019.
The past year exposed our Institution to a devastating situation with the MERS-CoV outbreak
and collective efforts toward transforming the Organization was deemed the necessary course of action to overcome
this significant episode.
On behalf of the Health Affairs Council, I wish to congratulate and convey my sincere
appreciation to all, for the exemplary work which each and every member of staff displayed, and contributed so
tirelessly, in preparing our Organization for the Joint Commission International Re-accreditation survey, and which
resulted in us achieving a very high Re-accreditation score.
I am pleased with the positive results as these reflect the good practice among all our
healthcare management, clinicians, pharmacists, nurses, healthcare providers, support, technical and all operational
staff. Our team spirit was very much present and certainly felt and shared by all; the type of united team
spirit that all healthcare organizations aspire to.
Indeed, you have all once again proved that we deliver the highest quality and standard of
care at all times in our organization. This standard is what allows us to achieve our goal and to remain one of
the most reliable healthcare organizations, not only in the Kingdom, but also worldwide. The diligence and
dedication demonstrated by each and every employee during the preparation and the actual surveys is truly
overwhelming.
Thank you for this impressive achievement, of which you may rightly be proud, and I wish you
all continued success. May this recognition, motivate all of us to continue to work as a team and maintain the
highest standards of quality and safe patient care at all times.
