Function and scope of services
Clinical care: Providing comprehensive, multidisciplinary, subspecialty care for children with Cancer and Blood Disorders. It includes a Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (from birth to 14 years of age).

Goals of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
- To provide a state-of-the-art, high-quality, safe clinical service through a comprehensive, family-centered, multidisciplinary approach.
- To move toward sub-specialization (disease-specific programs) in keeping with the current trend in the field of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
- To serve as a referral center for Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Stem Cell Transplant patients.
- To focus the educational mission on physicians and allied health professionals with an emphasis on training future leaders in the field of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
- To help educate the community on identifying the early signs and symptoms of childhood cancer and blood diseases.
