Cardiac Day Care Unit
The Cardiac Day Care Unit (CDCU) is a short-stay unit that provides care to adult and pediatric cardiac patients requiring cardiac interventional procedures on either an inpatient or outpatient basis. The unit operates from 0700-1900 on weekdays.
Patient Population: Adult mixed gender.
Hours of Operation: 0700 – 1900 (Sun to Thurs).
Occupancy Rate: 850 Patients per month
Staff Categories: Nurse Manager, Clinical Resource Nurse, Nurse Coordinator, Staff Nurse I & II, Patient Care Technician.

Co-Lateral Coiling
Diagnostic Coronary Angiograms
E.P. Studies (Electrophysiology Studies Plus Ablation)
Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (Angioplasty and Stenting)
Pericardiocentesis
PFO (Patent Foramen Ovale) Closure
Pulmonary Valvuloplasty
Permanent Pacemaker (Single or Dual Chamber)
VSD (Ventricular Septal Defect) Closure, PDA Closure/Stenting
Tilt Table Test
Temporary Pacemaker
AICD
