Ministry of National Guard-Health Affairs (MNG-HA) celebrated Stage 6 Accreditation on both the Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM) and Outpatient Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (O-EMRAM),
On Tuesday, the 6th of January 2021. The accreditation was presented by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), which through classification of medical applications and systems, recognizes healthcare organizations according to the levels of electronic information technology systems application in the field of healthcare and improving patient experience.
MNG-HA has successfully implemented an integrated health information system as a part of the digital transformation and adapted both the (EMRAM) and (O-EMRAM) in order to improve the outcomes of patient services, quality, and operation of the healthcare services and completely dispense paper records to better serve the medical staff and patients alike.
For patients, the electronic medical record promotes their engagement with the organization, and in particular, the physician through a mobile application developed by MNG-HA called “MNGHA Care”. The patient can now book appointments, request and print medical reports, request medication refills and check the results of tests such as laboratory and radiology results. For cases that do not require the patient’s visit to the clinic, MNG-HA has developed a mobile application for conducting the clinic visit virtually, through a secure connection. For such specific cases, the healthcare services are provide to the patients at their comfort.
Last but certainly not least, this accreditation stands as a recognition for MNG-HA commitment with regards to improving the quality of patient care, ensuring safe environment, enhancing the patients’ engagement as well as implementing the best practices and highest healthcare standards.
