This state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit has been built and equipped through a generous philanthropic donation made by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in the name of his late mother, Fahdah Bint Alasi bin Shraim. The unit was opened in May 2000 and has been dedicated and named in her memory.
The intensive Care Unit (ICU2) is a 21-bedded General Intensive Care unit catering to all levels of critically ill patient types requiring constant monitoring and life-supporting treatments. Dedicated highly trained ICU nurses in conjunction with a specialized Multidisciplinary Medical and Allied Health team staff it.
Patient Population: Adults above 14 years of age.
Mixed Gender.
Hours of Operation: 24 hours / 7 days a week.
No of Beds: 21 Beds.
Occupancy Rate: 100%
Total Patient Care Utilizing a Partnership Model.
