Under the auspices of the Minister of Health, the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs achieved a remarkable feat by winning the first place in the prestigious Ada'a Health Award 2023 for the Digitally Enabled Care Category for their groundbreaking e-consultation program. This innovative initiative, designed to facilitate digital consultations and second opinions within the electronic medical record, has revolutionized the healthcare landscape.

By enabling seamless communication between healthcare providers, the e-consultation program eliminates the need for patients to visit multiple specialists, thereby saving valuable time and resources, facilitating timely access to specialized expertise, leading to better patient outcomes and satisfaction.

 


Moreover, Under the auspices of the Minister of Health, the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs won the third place in Ada'a Health Award 2023 for the Innovation and Creativity Category for iCare Inpatient Program This program employs real-time surveillance through electronic scoring and risk stratification system to proactively identify patients at risk of fragmented care, facilitating timely interventions and ensuring seamless coordination and integration throughout inpatient hospital journey. It resulted in a notable enhancement in consultant delivered care, alongside a significant reduction in inpatient length of stay, showcasing the program's impactful contributions to healthcare excellence.

The iCare program has been recognized with the granting of two patents from both the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property and the United States Patent Office.
