King Abdulaziz Medical City-Central Region (KAMC-CR) has recently achieved a new record in the provision of safe and quality care and services as it has been granted full accreditation by the Saudi Central Board of Accreditation for Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) with outstanding performance and a score of 96.4%. This is in addition to the valid accreditation by the Joint Commission International (JCI) as academic medical centre since March 2016
On 29 April - 02 May 2018, a CBAHI panel visited King Abdulaziz Medical City-Central Region (KAMC-CR) to conduct a full assessment process that involves a rigorous, transparent, and comprehensive evaluation. In addition, it undergoes an examination of its systems, processes, and performance to ensure that all is conducted in a manner that meets applicable predetermined and published national standards.
The Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) is the official agency authorized to grant accreditation certificates to all governmental and private healthcare facilities operating today in Saudi Arabia. CBAHI has emerged from the Saudi Health Council as a non-profit organization. The principal function of CBAHI is to set the healthcare quality and patient safety standards against which all healthcare facilities are evaluated for evidence of compliance.
With this accomplishment, on behalf of MNG-HA leadership, we thank all the staff of KAMC-CR for their dedication and commitment that resulted to this achievement.
