Mission
To provide excellent, cost effective and quality diagnostic service in which tests are carried out competently, safely, reliable, and reproducible results in a timely manner. To support the clinical programs of the King Abdulaziz Medical City, al Ahsa, and to work in a national context with other institutions of the Ministry of National Guard-Health Affairs, and to participate fully in teaching and research programs as approved by Ministry of National Guard-Health Affairs.

Objectives

To continue facilitate Saudization process by utilizing Saudi career development Program (SCDP) participants and give emphasis on scholarships and training for improving long-term staffing and staff retention.

To encourage academic activities and continuing medical education (CME) for both technical and medical staff.

To re-design and facilitate the expansion and reconstruction of the laboratory.

To maintain the international College of American Pathologists standard (CAP) accreditation , American Association of Blood Bank {AABB}, Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA), as well as Local Saudi Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) accreditation standards.
Scope of Services
Laboratory services will be provided in accordance to the standards established by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), Joint Commission of International Accreditation (JCIA), Saudi Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI), Ministry of Health and local regulations as per Ministry of National Guard Health Affair (MNG-HA) administrative policies and procedures.
