Further to the approved re-commissioning plan, after extensive and careful review and strong recommendation by Infection Control Expert and Consultants from johns Hopkins and University Collage of London Hospitals who visited KAMC-Riyadh this week and as recommended by MNGHA Infection prevention and Control to allocate the Surgical Tower as temporary Corona Isolation Unit for the next few weeks .

The selection of Surgical Tower is based on location , control of accessibility of ICU , and availability of negative pressure .. Therefore, confirmed and suspected cases of MERS-CoV will be gradually transferred to the Surgical Tower over the next few days .
