Mission
The mission of this service is to promote mental health within hospital and community settings, increase awareness, and encourage care for optimal psychological functioning. It provides comprehensive assessment and management for patients across all ages and departments, including military psychological support.
The section offers high-quality clinical care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, excellent educational opportunities for residents and peers, and conducts ongoing research in clinical and educational methods.
It actively supports outreach clinics scheduled within the community.

- Community Care Services
In-patient Care
Patients are admitted to the general medical bed pool without a dedicated psychiatric ward. The average inpatient load is 5 patients. Care is provided within a secure therapeutic environment using various therapeutic techniques to support recovery.
Liaison Service
Services are extended to Oncology, Pediatrics, General Medicine, Geriatrics, Obstetrics, and Rehabilitation. This includes assessments, treatment, follow-up, psychometric evaluations, and cognitive assessments.
Special Procedures
- Electroconvulsive therapy: 3 times per week
- Psychometric testing: once per week
- Cognitive behavior therapy: once per week
- Psychotherapy: once per week
