Prince Mohammed bin Abdul-Aziz Hospital of the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs in Madinah, represented by the Department of Therapeutic Nutrition Services, held the “Nutrition and Health Awareness Day “which was on the second Wednesday of October 2024 in the main entrance of the hospital, where the event aims to raise the level of awareness of community members to enable them to promote their healthy lifestyle in various aspects such as nutrition, mental health and sports, in addition to correcting some misconceptions spread on social media, targeting different segments of society. of employees, their families and hospital visitors.
The event was inaugurated by the Executive Director of Operations, Mr. Mansour Al-Askar, and the Executive Director of Medical Services, Dr. Turki Al-Wasidi, accompanied by the Deputy Executive Director of Operations, Mr. Salah Al-Harbi, and the Deputy Executive Director of Medical Services, Dr. Ammar Al-Hassani, in the presence of the Director of Therapeutic Nutrition Services, Ms. Noura Al-Jayar, and a number of head of sections, where the attendees toured the exhibition, while the participants gave explanations about the activities provided, which varied between intellectuals and nutritionists Where the topics dealt with various health awareness concerns aimed at introducing calories and methods of measuring them, and how to calculate the daily need of the individual of food, as well as consultations on food and growth and biometrics were made for the attendees, and the event highlighted the most prominent concepts and malpractice for feeding pregnant women, dieters and practitioners of bodybuilding sports and ways to correct dealing with them, and the event was accompanied by the participation of many departments contributing directly and indirectly to supporting nutritional awareness, such as the psychiatry ward and the pavilion Physiotherapy, nursing education pavilion and the social club pavilion.
At the end of the event, the Director of Therapeutic Nutrition Services, Ms. Noura Al-Jayar, expressed her full appreciation and gratitude to the participants in the event and the guests for honoring them, adding that the therapeutic nutrition staff spares no effort in providing therapeutic nutritional services according to the highest standards of quality and patient safety by adhering to the highest international standards adopted in the services provided while continuing the process of learning and continuous development of the therapeutic nutrition services staff.
