Trauma Intensive Care Unit

This eight-bedded ICU is designed to cater to incredibly challenging and technical trauma patients. TICU is the primary unit for all trauma admissions, with a team skilled in handling all aspects of trauma-based care. All rooms are negative pressure, so Trauma cases requiring airborne isolation can easily be managed in the unit. TICU and ICU 2 share the same medical teams and work closely together as an extension of each other.​


Patient Population: Adults above 14 years of age


Mixed Gender


Hours of Operation: 24 hours / 7 days a week



No of Beds: 8 Beds



Occupancy Rate: 100%



Staff Categories

  • Registered Nurse.

  • Patient Care Technician.




Primary Diagnosis

  • Trauma.

  • Sepsis.

  • Respiratory Failure.

  • Acute Renal Failure (HD/PD).

  • Life Threatening GI Bleeding.

  • Metabolic Disorders.

  • Post General Surgery.

  • Airborne Isolation Patients.

















Primary Procedures

  • Airway management including ventilation.

  • Airway management including ventilation.

  • Invasive Monitoring.

  • Vasopressors and Inotropic administration.

  • Percutaneous Tracheostomy.

  • CRRT.

  • ICP/EVD.
