His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Medina Region, visited Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Hospital, at the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs.
During the visit, His Royal Highness watched a visual presentation showcasing the hospital’s journey since its inauguration in 2013, with an operational capacity of 357 beds. The presentation highlighted the hospital’s medical achievements, offering services across 50 medical specialties and 16 virtual clinics. The hospital manages more than 200,000 active medical records and has performed over 36,500 medical procedures, in addition to obtaining 15 local and international accreditations.
Prince Salman bin Sultan met with the hospital’s medical and administrative staff, praising the pioneering role of the National Guard’s healthcare sector. He acknowledged the significant support from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, which has contributed to numerous national medical achievements. His Highness emphasized that these accomplishments have positively impacted the quality of healthcare provided through National Guard hospitals and advanced medical centers across the Kingdom, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030.
The Governor of Medina also conducted an inspection tour of the hospital, visiting inpatients to check on their health conditions. He listened to explanations from doctors regarding their treatment progress and the medical services provided, expressing his wishes for their swift recovery.
Additionally, Prince Salman bin Sultan attended celebrations organized by the hospital in conjunction with the Kingdom’s Founding Day festivities. The event featured a traditional Saudi Ardah (folk dance) performed at the hospital’s outdoor garden, along with various exhibits and programs commemorating this national occasion.
At the end of the visit, the Executive Director of Operations at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Hospital, Mansour bin Nasser Al Askar, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Governor of Medina for his visit, which reflects the wise leadership’s commitment to developing the healthcare sector and enhancing the quality of medical services. This commitment is supported and overseen by His Royal Highness Prince Abdullah bin Bandar, Minister of the National Guard, and His Excellency Dr. Bandar Al Knawy, Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs.
