In the presence of H.E. Dr. Bandar Al Knawy, Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs, and H.E. Mr. Bader Al Kadi, Vice Minister of Sports, The Saudi Federation of Sports Medicine at the Ministry of Sports signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs. The agreement aims to establish a specialized and accredited laboratory for detecting doping and banned substances in sports, as part of efforts to promote sports integrity and ensure a fair competitive environment.

This agreement aims to:

• Establish an accredited laboratory for doping and banned substance detection at the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs in Riyadh.
• Recruit, train, and qualify personnel to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
• Test and approve medical technologies and equipment to localize testing procedures according to the latest global standards.
• Develop regulatory policies and guidelines to ensure compliance with international procedures and standards.​​
