The Saudi Federation of Sports Medicine at the Ministry of Sports signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs. The agreement aims to establish a specialized and accredited laboratory for detecting doping and banned substances in sports, as part of efforts to promote sports integrity and ensure a fair competitive environment.
This agreement aims to:
- Establish an accredited laboratory for doping and banned substance detection at the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs in Riyadh.
- Recruit, train, and qualify personnel to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
- Test and approve medical technologies and equipment to localize testing procedures according to the latest global standards.
- Develop regulatory policies and guidelines to ensure compliance with international procedures and standards.
