Under the auspice of the Chief Medical Officer of the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs, Dr. Saad Al Mohrij, and in the presence of Dr. Majed Al Shamrani, Executive Director of the Infection Prevention and Control Program, and Dr. Fayez Al Hejaili, Dean of Postgraduate Education, the National Guard Health Affairs and King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences celebrated the graduation of the first class of the Travel Medicine Specialized Professional Certificate Program, the first of its kind in the Kingdom, on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.
The three-month program aimed to develop the skills of healthcare professionals in travel medicine and was conducted under the supervision of a distinguished group of specialized physicians and experts. The program included an intensive theoretical component, practical training, field visits, scientific discussions, and participant presentations to encourage knowledge exchange. Graduates of the program receive a professional certificate accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, enhancing their expertise in this specialized medical field.
During the closing ceremony, participants were honored, along with the lecturers and all those who contributed to the program's success, in recognition of their efforts in enriching both the scientific and practical aspects of the training.
The National Guard Health Affairs reaffirms its commitment to providing specialized training programs that contribute to the development of healthcare professionals and the enhancement of community health, in line with the latest global medical advancements and best practices.
