Regional Anesthesia

Division of Regional Anesthesia

Regional Anesthesia has been a growing subspecialty in the last few years, especially after utilizing ultrasound, which easily localizes the target nerves.

The division focuses on:

  • Enhancing the acute pain service and improving patient experience postoperatively. This includes; peripheral nerve block catheter, which controls the nerve supply of the operated site. Not only that, Regional anesthesia is utilized to provide anesthesia for the patient who cannot tolerate general anesthesia for medical reasons.

  • Regional Anesthesia's advantages. For example, improving patient satisfaction, reducing the length of stay, and enhancing early ambulation, leading to enhanced recovery after surgery.

  • Conducting yearly workshops to disseminate the knowledge and experience to all at a national level.
