Admission Masters in Bioethics 

King Abdullah International Medical Research Center is pleased to announce the commencment of admissions for the second batch of Masters in Bioethics for the academic year 1430-1431H, 2009-2010G- Batch 2.

Program Objectives:

• To address the ethics of medical practice and biological research in a systematic, academic approach.
• To consolidate the Islamic perspective of medical ethics and conceptualize the scope of its paradoxes and compatibilities with pertinent international guidelines.
• Investigating a spectrum of major current and future ethical medical dilemmas and setting vision for dealing with them.
• Setting trends for thought on the relationship between the medical establishment and the public that draw on Islamic teachings and are in accordance with international guidelines.

Registration Date:

The registration will start from Saturday 21/10/1430 H until Wednesday 23/11/1430 H corresponding to 10/10/2009 until 11/11/2009 G.

Start Date:

The program will start on 6/3/1431 H corresponding to 19/2/2010G.

Admission Requirements:

The Admission Requirements for the Masters in Bioethics Program in King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences comply with the rules and regulations set by the Ministry of Higher Education.

Specifically, the applicant should possess the following credentials:

• Saudi citizen.
• For non-Saudi, engaged in a scholarship program.
• Bachelor Degree in Health Sciences from an accredited university.
• Three (3) years work experiences in any health field after completion of BSc degree.
• GPA not less than 3.75 out of 5.
• Score of 550 on TOEFL exam or 6 on IELTS exam.
• Medically fit and No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer (preferably, working on a part-time basis).
• Three (3) recommendation letters.
• Pass the aptitude test.
• Pass the personal interview.
