Foot and Ankle Awareness Week Campaign

Orthopedic Surgery Department and Family Medicine would like to announce the upcoming Foot and Ankle Awareness Week Campaign which will be held from the 15th till the 19th of January 2017.

The 2017 Foot and ankle awareness week will be held at the these times and locations:

• 15, 16 January 2017 – Main Corridor, in front of the cafeteria
• 17 January 2017 – Iskan Clinic
• 18 January 2017 – Khashmalan Clinic
• d) 19 January 2017 – Um Al Hamam Clinic

Objectives:

• To increase staff awareness regarding foot and ankle problem control .
• To increase staff awareness regarding use and believes about foot and ankle conservative and nonconservative foot treatment.
• To increase staff awareness about risks of  foot problem .
  

Event Information:

• Education of staff about foot and ankle problem affect and disorder and how we can avoid injury  .
• Anatomy of foot and ankle and deformity could occur.
• Triggering factors and how to avoid attacks
• All types of foot problem and symptoms, causes, and conservative and neoconservative foot treatment.
• Education about control diet, exercises .and right lifestyle for foot .
• Demonstration of what an appropriate foot wear .
• Footprint  assessment take place .
• Education about wrong beliefs of foot and ankle medications.
