Constructing and Critically Evaluating Surveys

​King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) is pleased to announce the workshop "Constructing and Critically Evaluating Surveys" on 4 - 5 March 2018, at College of Public Health & Health Informatics, KSAU-HS Riyadh KSA.

Objectives:
This workshop aims to clarify the methods of designing surveys and teaching the fundamentals of scientific evaluation of surveys. It is targeting those who want to know how to independently conduct their own surveys and evaluate them. The workshop provides support for researchers and students who are conducting surveys in their own disciplines.

Participants will learn how to:

• Design good surveys (formulating effective questions, minimize bias and errors in questions, and respond to the study objective)
• Sample for surveys and understand the process of data collection
• Evaluate the quality of surveys (piloting, validity and reliability)
• Independently conduct a brief evaluation analysis using a statistical software (SPSS/Stata)
• Conduct factor analysis for constructing, evaluating, and specifying the domains of tests and scales for better outcomes using a statistical software (SPSS/Stata)

Target Audience:

• Postgraduate: Physicians, Pharmacists, Nurses, Allied Medical Services, Research Coordinators, Physiotherapists.
• Undergraduate: Medical, Pharmacy and Nursing Students, Medical Librarians.
