​Pediatric Epilepsy Course

The Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs (NGHA) and King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) are pleased to announce the upcoming Pediatric Epilepsy Course which will be held on 13-October 2018 in the Large Auditorium , King Abdullah Specialized Children's Hospital, Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs, Riyadh.

Activity Objectives:

• Define: seizure, epilepsy, epilepsy syndrome and be able to provide a simple classification of epilepsy.
• Describe the different seizure types  (absence, myoclonic, tonic clonic, tonic, atonic, focal motor and focal sensory)
• Give differential diagnosis for seizures, and how to distinguish epilepsy from syncopes (simple faints, reflex anoxic seizure, breath holding) and inattention (day-dreaming)
• Manage the first seizure event (not status epilepticus management)
  

Fees:

• Physicians: 500 SR
• Others:  300 SR
