Provider Course
Introduction:
Basic Life Support is the type of care that first-responders, healthcare providers and public safety professionals provide to anyone who is experiencing cardiac arrest, respiratory distress or an obstructed airway.
Objective:
- Describe and demonstrate 1- and 2 - rescuer CPR in adults, children and infants
- Adult and Child Bag-Valve-Mask technique and rescue breathing
- Practice the steps to operate an AED
- Demonstrate how to help a patient with a foreign body airway obstruction in patients of all ages
Provider Course Dates For 2021:
Half Day (4 Hours)
- March: 03, 04, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25, 31
Target Audience:
BLS for Prehospital Providers is for prehospital, emergency care professionals including emergency medical technicians (EMTs), police officers, fire fighters, flight nurse, paramedics and advanced EMTs (AEMTs). This course is recommended for those who have previously received training in BLS and CPR.
CME Hours:
Recognized by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) with NO CME and Internationally accredited by American Heart Association (AHA)
Course Fees:
- Fee: 175 SR for Renewal No Book/Manual with completion card. (Note: The Manual is required for those attending this version of the course for the first time or those who do not own it)
- Fee: 75 SR for the Manual. (The manual can be purchased on http://events.ksau-hs.edu.sa/ at the “Product” section)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Heartcode
Introduction:
BLS for Prehospital Providers is for prehospital, emergency care professionals including emergency medical technicians (EMTs), police officers, fire fighters, flight nurse, paramedics and advanced EMTs (AEMTs). This course is recommended for those who have previously received training in BLS and CPR.
Objective:
The Online Portion of HeartCode BLS focuses on what healthcare providers need to know to perform CPR in a wide variety of in- and pre-hospital settings:
- Initiating the Chain of Survival
- Performing prompt, high-quality chest compressions for adult, child, and infant victims
- Initiating early use of an AED
- Providing appropriate rescue breaths
- Practicing 2-rescuer team CPR
- Relieving choking
During the Hands-On Sessions, the student will demonstrate proficiency in providing BLS skills, including prioritizing chest compressions.
Heartcode Course Dates For 2021:
2 Hours (Requires the completion of part 1)
- March: 02, 09, 16, 23, 30

All Healthcare Providers.
