The Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs (MNG-HA), King Abdulaziz Medical City and Deanship of Postgraduate Education, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences KSAU-HS is pleased to announce the 2021 schedule of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Introduction:
For a child or infant experiencing serious injury or illness, your action can be the difference between life and death. PALS is a series of protocols to guide responses to life-threatening clinical events.
Objective:
- Key changes in pediatric advanced life support, reflecting the new science from the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care.
- 1 - and 2 - rescuer child CPR and AED use.
- 1 - and 2 - rescuer infant CPR.
- Management of respiratory emergencies.
- Rhythm disturbances and electrical therapy.
- Vascular access.

Target Audience:
The AHA’s PALS Course is for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the management of respiratory and/or cardiovascular emergencies and cardiopulmonary arrest in pediatric patients. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, and others who need a PALS course completion card for job or other requirements.
CME Hours:
- This course is accredited with 10 CME Hours by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS).
- Internationally accredited by American Heart Association (AHA)
Course Fees:
- Fee: 700 SR for the course without the Manual (Note: The Manual is required for those attending this version of the course for the first time or those who do not own it)
- Fee: 200 SR for the Manual. (The manual can be purchased on http://events.ksau-hs.edu.sa/ at the “Product” section)
