7th Multidisciplinary Burn Awareness Day

The Burn Intensive Care Unit is proud to announce hosting of the 7th Multidisciplinary Burn Awareness Day on 13 February 2025 in the corridor of Surgical Tower, Ground Floor. @ 9h00-11h00.Thereafter presentations on the role of multidisciplinary teams in burn injury patients will then follow at 13h00 in the Kasch large auditorium,3rd floor. This day is to create awareness to public, healthcare workers in the prevention, management, nutrition, therapeutic use antimicrobials, rehabilitation and psychological support of the burn victim 

Obejctives:

• How prevent Burns at home.
• Early Management of   Burns.
• Able to identify types of Burns.
• Able to identify mechanism of Burns.
• Discuss the wound care in Burns.
• The Role of Occupational and Physiotherapist in rehabilitation of the Burn Victim.
• The importance of psychological support for the Burn Victim.
• The Role of Clinical Nutrition in introducing early, optimal feeding in the feeding in the Burn Injury Patient.
• The importance of Acute Pain Service Department in Burn Injury Patient
•  The role of Infection Control Department in Importance of Infection control precautions of a Burn Injury patient.
• The Role Pharmaceutical holistic approach in ensuring proper use of medication to prevent overdosing or antimicrobial resistance.
