Department Capacity

KAH-Al Ahsa is a 270-In patient bed capacity tertiary care hospital, providing multidisciplinary care including primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare services to Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs (MNGHA) customers.

KAH is situated in a welcoming setting, from patient arrival to discharge, with an appealing façade and ample convenient parking. On arrival to KAH, a patient experience officer and welcoming patient escort is available to provide guidance and assistance.

The patient and family are our central focus. Nursing Services commit to optimal patient outcomes through the provision of high quality nursing care, competent professional and support staff and an environment that promotes and maintains individual staff and patient well-being and safety.

All departments and services as mentioned below are supported by expert specifically trained and competent nursing staff:

61 Out Patient Clinics that caters to several exclusive specialties

8 Operating Rooms fitted with state of the art equipment and diagnostic technologies including 12 recovery beds that allow patients to safely transition after surgery.

High end diagnostic services are available (i.e. Endoscopy, Urodynamic)

Dialysis service consists of a predialysis clinic where a multi-disciplinary team is available to assist patients with informed decisions throughout their patient and family journey, 12 hemodialysis slots provided over a 24 hour schedule and peritoneal dialysis.

The Emergency Room facility is secured with an ambulatory drive through screening booth that ensures early patient direction to the appropriate area of care.

A fully equipped 12 bedded Emergency Room caters to all age populations, further prepared for

  • Trauma and Resus : 3 beds

  • Critical Isolation/Procedure: 1 bed

A separate Respiratory Screening clinic ensures optimal infection prevention standards and protection, fast and early assessment that reduces waiting times for all visitors.
