Crash Emergency Cesarean Section

“Crash Emergency Cesarean Section” is a multidisciplinary project that won the 4th Annual Saudi Patient Safety Center Awards in 2021. The idea was taken from the book of measures written by HE Prof. Bander Al Knawy in 2015.

The project aims to establish a multidisciplinary responsive team to streamline timely and safe care for women requiring cesarean section. This team comprises medical and operation services members, including Nursing, Anesthesia, Ob/Gyn, Pediatrics, quality and patient safety, and Communication departments. This program has a positive and long-lasting effect on the safety of the mother and her baby.

The spirit of these members was simply advocacy toward patient safety, timely response & intervention, and patient experience.
