تتكون الدورة من محاضرات وورش عمل وتطبيقات عملية بحيث يتمكن المشاركون من فهم عبء الأمراض السارية وكيفية تقديرها، و مكافحة الأمراض والوقاية منها ومبادئ التدريس والتعلم ، ، ومبادئ الاستقصاء الوبائي ، ومفاهيم البحث العلمي بالإضافة الى اعداد وتنفيذ حملات التوعية الصحية والتثقيف الصحي للمرضى وأفراد المجتمع.
