W31-PCW is a 23-bedded mixed gender unit providing cardiac care for pediatric patients 24 hours / 7 days a week. The patient population includes those who require Non Invasive hemodynamic monitoring and noninvasive airway management.​

Patient Population: Neonates & Pediatrics up to 14 years. Mixed Gender

Hours of Operation: 24/7

No of Beds: 23

Occupancy Rate: 100%

Staff Categories: Nurse Manager, Clinical Resource Nurse, Nurse Coordinator, Staff Nurse I & II, Patient Care Technician.

Primary Diagnosis:

  • Multiple / Complex Congenital Cardiac Anomalies

  • Isolated / Single Congenital Cardiac Anomalies

  • Patients Pre-Cardiac Surgery ( Stable )

  • Pre and Post Cardiac Catheterization ( Non-ventilated post procedure)

Primary procedures:

  • 24 Hours Bedside & Telemetry Monitoring

  • Pre and Post-operative surgical management

  • Pre and Post Cardiac Catheterization Care

  • Procedural Sedation – CT, MRI, ECHO

  • Wound Care / wounds drains management

  • Tracheostomy Care and management

  • Anticoagulation Therapy

  • Management of J-VAC drains
