Ward 21

Ward 21 is a 20- bed in-patient rehabilitation unit. We provide medical nursing and highly skilled compensatory care to adult patients who are clinically complex and often highly dependent, with the ultimate goal of maximum independence, patient self-management, and/or family caregiving.

Nurses are coordinators of the healthcare team that help guide each patient toward functional autonomy and keep the patient’s physician informed about progress.

Most patients are physically disabled and have goals for bed mobility and transfers, activities of daily living, bowel, bladder, and skin management, in addition to medical and nursing goals.
